As the MLS regular season wraps and playoff brackets lock in, sportsbooks have released their latest futures odds—and Inter Miami CF remains the team to beat.

With Lionel Messi at the helm and a veteran core around him, Miami is listed at +500 by both FanDuel and DraftKings. But several challengers aren’t far behind, including a surging Vancouver Whitecaps squad, a dangerous LAFC team, and San Diego FC, the expansion side making waves in its debut year.

1. Inter Miami CF

Odds: +500 (FanDuel, DraftKings)

Why it matters: Messi, Suárez, Busquets, and Alba have led Barcelona to a top finish before, but in MLS, they're still missing the number one trophy for anyone who ever played soccer in the US: The MLS Cup. With playoff experience and elite attacking talent (and an extremely shaky defense), they remain the clear-cut favorite, even though it means having to outscore its opponents in every game.

2. Vancouver Whitecaps FC

Odds: +600 (both books)

Why it matters: Riding the momentum of a strong 2024 and another consistent campaign, Vancouver is now viewed as more than just a dark horse. They added Thomas Müller, a stellar fit so far in Canada for the Caps.

3. San Diego FC

Odds: +750 (FD), +700 (DK)

Why it matters: Expansion sides rarely contend this quickly—but Hirving “Chucky” Lozano has changed the narrative. San Diego is organized, fearless, and full of belief but have shown signs of vulnerability and fatigue as of late. Leading the West, they hope to ride home momentum through the playoffs all the way to the coveted franchise's first title.

4. Philadelphia Union

Odds: +750 (FD), +800 (DK)

Why it matters: Perennial contenders with tactical discipline and playoff scars. Now counting on young talent like Quinn Sullivan to get it done. Soon to be Supporter Shield winners (who can stop them?). Are they built for tournament soccer, though? Even if recent postseason runs fell short under Jim Curtain? Maybe Bradley Carnell is the answer to the DOOP's title drought.

5. Los Angeles FC

Odds: +750 (FD), +900 (DK)

Why it matters: Less dominant than 2022, but with Son and Bouanga, LAFC has the highest xG of any Western Conference side since August. A dangerous floater getting in sync at the right time. The question is whether Steve Cherundolo can take them all the way?

6. FC Cincinnati

Odds: +850 (FD), +900 (DK)

Why it matters: Top-three in the East again. Same odds as it began. Steady under the leadership of Evander and more dangerous with the addition of Brenner. Their core is playoff-tested, and they match up well against possession-heavy teams, including Inter Miami. No one wants to see filly in the playoffs today.
