For LA, the defeat marks a disappointing end to their continental hopes, but head coach Greg Vanney emphasized the team’s progress and the importance of refocusing on Major League Soccer.

With MLS action resuming this weekend, the Galaxy must now channel their Champions Cup lessons into league play. The team is yet to register a win in Major League Soccer, a mark that Coach Greg Vanney hopes to put away, now that the team's focus lay solely on the domestic league.
