The Ghanaian forward opened the scoring in the 12th minute, finishing off a well-timed assist from Owen Wolff to give the Verde & Black an early advantage. Bukari then turned provider in the 33rd minute, setting up Myrto Uzuni, who doubled Austin’s lead with a composed strike.

San Jose fought back after the break. In the 53rd minute, defender Daniel Munie capitalized on a corner kick, heading home to cut the deficit to 2-1. The Earthquakes pressed for an equalizer, with Josef Martínez creating several early chances that either went wide, were ruled offside, or were denied by Austin goalkeeper Brad Stuver’s sharp reflexes.

Austin ultimately sealed the win in the 77th minute when San Jose’s Bruno Wilson inadvertently turned the ball into his own net, restoring a two-goal cushion and silencing hopes of a comeback.

The match also featured several disciplinary moments, with cautions handed out to Ronaldo Vieira of San Jose, and Guilherme Biro and Oleksandr Svatok of Austin.
