According to Território MLS, sources from FC Cincinnati confirmed that Evander’s arrival was contingent on Acosta’s transfer. As initially reported by journalist Tom Bogert and later confirmed by our portal, Lucho Acosta is now set to join FC Dallas in a $5 million deal. The Argentine midfielder will be the new leader for the Texas club, which recently sold Alan Velasco to Boca Juniors.

Evander Interested in Playing for FC Cincinnati

On Tuesday (11), Território MLS learned that Evander had expressed a strong desire to join Cincinnati. His recent return to the United States was primarily to resolve his professional situation. The midfielder has been at odds with the Portland Timbers front office due to internal issues, which made his departure more likely.

Evander Leaving, David da Costa Arriving

With the Brazilian’s exit imminent, the Portland Timbers have already secured a replacement. According to European media reports, Portuguese midfielder David da Costa, currently playing for Lens in Ligue 1, has been signed as Evander’s successor.

Lucho’s move to Dallas and David’s arrival in Portland have cleared the way for Evander’s transfer to FC Cincinnati in a $12 million deal. The final details of the negotiation should be settled in the coming days, keeping the Brazilian in MLS but now wearing the Orange and Blue jersey.
