All eyes are on the Brazilian teams that have secured a strong presence in the Copa Sudamericana tournament. Atlético Mineiro, Fluminense, Grêmio, and Cruzeiro have been designated as group stage seeds, demonstrating the power of the 4 clubs within the continent and Conmebol.

This year's tournament format remains unchanged from last year, ensuring a familiar path for all participating clubs.

In addition to the four seeded teams, Vasco da Gama finds itself in pot 2, while Vitória lands in pot 4. The competition's rules stipulate that no more than one team from each country can be in the same group, adding an extra layer of strategy and anticipation to the draw.

The tournament structure guarantees that the top teams from each group will progress directly to the round of 16. Meanwhile, the second-placed teams will face off against the third-placed teams from the Libertadores in a playoff round.
